THE DYSFUNCTIONALS- 'THE JOHN F. KENNEDY NO.2 EP' CD EP

This is raw, original, stimulated English garage punk with real flair and aptitude. The DYSFUNCTIONALS’ style varies between braying, strident garage punk rock: `1986', to a much composed, unruffled sound as in, 'Trust'. I like it when a band can successfully diverge from sound to sound and the DYSFUNCTIONALS are very able indeed to capture that effectively.
This is a great EP and I would love to hear a full-length from the DYSFUNCTIONALS...Excellent cover artwork too!

"Fabulous demo this week from Barnsley's The Dysfunctionals. It's straight onto our demo playlist.
I'm a long-time fan of the 2-minute pop song (since Love's '7 & 7 Is') and the first track on their 'John F. Kennedy No 2' EP weighs in at 1'32". Worth the waiting!"

THE DYSFUNCTIONALS
"THE JOHN F. KENNEDY NO.2 EP" CD

The Dysfunctionals "UK based Garage Punk band" - as they say in their letter - are more punk to me. I love catchy and short "1986", but "Trust" is too balady for my taste, well it does have great noisy moments, but it's a bit too kinda indie for me. Somebody may disagree here, so I'll say this is my taste. "Frustration" is good with great UK accented punk vocal. I miss something in production by this band. I don't know how they recorded these songs - probably very primitive and cheapest way possible. Well I don't mind primitive, but guitar sound should be better - it should rock more. "I'm 667" is nice slow punk. I really like the vocal - it reminds me of the old 70s punk bands. At the end of CD you get a big surprise - the hidden track. The Dysfunctionals go techno. Actually it's more drum'n'bass. You really don't expect this. It's good drum'n'bass with punk vocals. Only, I would also add guitars here and make it more punk and it would be killer.

The noisy Bradford types appear to be having Spinal Tap problems, admitting “our harmonica player has left”.
Despite the band name, there’s a brutal efficiency in the way that lead song 1986’s garage rock bursts in, rants away for a one-and-a-half minutes and clears off before chance of boredom. More of a low-ranking Billy Childish than The Hives, but fun nonetheless.

THE DYSFUNCTIONALS : 4 titres " the John F. Kennedy No.2 e.p. "

L'esprit de The Jam (dans "this is the modern world") planne au dessus de ces 4 garçons d'Angleterre.

THE DYSFUNCTIONALS: 4 titles " the John F Kennedy No.2 e.p. "

the spirit of The Jam (in " this is the modern world ") planne with the top of these 4 boys of England. No tralala, it is punk truth of the pure garage … one is far from the production of the majors on this crénaux, who propose a fast and vain asepticized rock'n'roll which has punk … only the name! Not, there it is clear, one at every moment expects to hear again the memorable voice of John Lydon in the back vocals. The singer has the stamp which it is necessary, and the titles solid and are well built.

We particular appreciated " i' m 667 " which could without problem pass on the radios rock'n'roll (the true ones). It should be said that we laughed also much by listening to the 5th title of this MINOR ROAD 4 titles! a kind of rhythmic repetitive Jungle …

Attention the guy! do not mix influences of the S.P. and from P.I.L.dans the same album, if not, one really will believe that you are fans of Johnny Rotten! Good us here, one cracked on THE DYSFUNCTIONALS, that is then read certainly … cheer the guy!

THE DYSFUNCTIONALS The John F. Kennedy N°2 EP (CD-single)(Own Release)

Garagerock is still made…dirty rock with a lo-fi sound and an atmosphere in where you can smell the sweat and alcohol that's on the table…raw energetic rock like it's been taught by uncle Iggy Pop in the times he used to be in The Stooges.
Well, The Dysfunctionals who are from West Yorkshire are such a band and with the release of their debut they might have a very traditional sound, but it is one of those primal sounds that still works, even if a song like "I'm 667" has some drum 'n bass patterns…but the general mood of this fine cd-single is one of loud raw guitars…or that famous trilogy "sex, drugs and rock 'n roll" or as the band say themselves : swamp punk blues….

This pitch-black CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT contains 5 tracker ball too yet standing yonder solely 4 supposed worn the slipcover. The closing bid turn is proper one drum and bark turn who little whether nothing with garagepunk within take has , what the proper worn this certificate of deposit realm within take would be I towards God not know because the 4 the rest turn one's very good within taste. They hover between garagepunk and puppet , solely none the less tempting unclean gespeeld. The voice with vocalist July Masculine (Julian Manley) does my off and on suggest who with Johny Rotten. One nice one ep. until lover with Englishwoman garagepunk.
